WORMS AND LIVER DAMAGE

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Unadulterated, unrefined, natural food helps to keep the liver healthy and efficient. If natural wholefood has been replaced by denatured, refined food, the cause of liver disorders may be attributed partly to this unhappy change. However, if refined food is not the reason, then a damaged liver can be the result of an infection, possibly caused by the widespread problem of parasitic worms.

In Japan, Korea, and other lands where the bad practice exists of fertilising vegetables with human excrement from a cesspit, the majority of the population are infested with worms. One of these parasites, the dangerous hookworm, can even kill its victim. Another species settles in the liver and also ruins one’s life, albeit slowly.

THE TREATMENT OF ULCERS – GENERAL INFORMATION

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Condensed bilberry (blueberry) juice has given excellent results, also condensed liquorice juice. These juices should be taken daily

in doses of 20—40 g (0.7-1.4 oz). Before swallowing, they should be kept in the mouth for a minute or two to ensure proper insali-vation, as this will hasten the cure.

Gastric ulcers are often the result of nervous tension, or stress. It is therefore advisable to free oneself from worries and anxieties. It is not really difficult to get rid of stomach ulcers if the simple methods outlined above are carefully followed. You are at liberty to combine the various simple remedies indicated or to conscientiously follow only one treatment until you are cured.

WHAT IS AN ALLERGY?

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

This question is easily answered if we think of an allergy as a hypersensitivity to a certain kind, or variety, of different substances – allergens. This hypersensitivity may cause such drastic reactions that it seems as though the patient has been poisoned. For example, I am acquainted with the son of a pharmacist who becomes ill if only the smallest amount of egg is present in his food. A late friend of mine in New York would react in a similar way to wheat. Whenever he ate a piece of bread or pastry made with wheat flour he became critically ill. Professor Abderhalden once told me of one of his assistants who suffered with head swellings every time he ate white beans. Other people may have allergic reactions to daffodils, primulas, strawberries, rhubarb and even blueberries.

Merely touching certain flowers can cause skin eruptions, urticaria and other skin disorders in people who are allergic to them. Fruits can have the same effect, or they can cause a person to vomit. It is also known that some people are allergic to certain animal proteins and fats. Others I have observed become violently ill when eating seafood, such as crabs, lobster or any other shellfish.

HYPERTHYROIDISM – TAKING CALCIUM

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Some years ago I sent a patient suffering from the same symptoms to her doctor to have him check her basal metabolism. Since he felt there was nothing wrong with her thyroid, he was reluctant to check her out. But she insisted, and to his astonishment the results of the test revealed a substantial increase in her metabolism.

This condition, in almost all cases, is associated with a calcium deficiency in the blood. For this reason these patients need to eat plenty of food high in calcium. Taking a calcium-complex preparation, such as Urticalcin, is also highly recommended, in addition to a homoeopathic iodine preparation, preferably made from sea kelp, as well as Lycopus.

It is a source of great satisfaction to see the unpleasant symptoms disappear when the body is given the things it lacks and resumes its nature functions once more.

NORMALISING THE BLOOD PRESSURE – WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO ACHIEVE? (TREATMENT)

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Even though my friend did not make use of any medicines – and still achieved a noteworthy result – it would not be wrong to supplement a diet of this kind with certain preparations which would make it even more effective. For example, Viscum album tincture, a mistletoe preparation, is able to lower the blood pressure. Additionally, hawthorn (Crataegus) and arnica should be taken, both remedies having a positive influence on the blood vessels. Another helpful remedy is bear’s garlic tonic, since it is a specific for regenerating the vessels. In spring, gather bear’s garlic (ramsons) and prepare it as a fresh salad, or steam it as a vegetable. For the rest of the year, take bear’s garlic tonic and garlic perles or Arterioforce capsules.

If, as a result of this treatment, the arterial pressure falls, this signifies not simply a lower reading but the welcome fact that the elasticity of the blood vessels has improved – that is, a genuine rejuvenation of the vessels has taken place. If we realise the consequences of high blood pressure, we will feel it is well worth the effort to persevere with the recommended diet until satisfactory results have been obtained.
